I'm trying to create a directory of our employees that contains their photo,
job title, email, and a short bio. I figured I would create this using a
Picture Library. The problem is that none of the default layout styles give
me the look I want.

I tried using SharePoint Designer to convert to an XSLT view and then
customize the layout. However, I get the error messages that "The Web Part
does not have a valid XSLT stylesheet. and A name was started with an
invalid character."

Next, I tried inserting a data view onto the page. When I insert the
Thumbnail field onto the page, a number is displayed rather than the actual
thumbnail.

Why isn't this working the way that I want it to? Any suggestions for
another way to accomplish this?

Thanks,
Ed Lee

did you ever get this to work? or did you find any app out there that
will do this? besides "aboutface" which is way to expensive for us
