I have WSS v3.0 and have read in numerous places that there is a
button to import/export to/fro outlook. I see no such button on my
Contacts list. Any ideas what I need to do please? I will hope to
have both Outlook 2000 and 2003 clients to link up to the WSS list.

Options under the Contacts list are only: New, Actions, and Settings
and it is not under them...

I'm fairly sure that two-way Outlook / WSS 3.0 interaction requires
Outlook 2007.

Well, so much for "backward engineering"! I'll have to try v2.0 and
upgrade Office 2000 to 2003.

That's the way the SharePoint and Office interaction has always been
throughout their joint history.

New features in a new version of SharePoint require new features in the
equivalent new version of Office.

Some of us have been here before ... It's the snag of having parallel
development (but also the advantage - it depends on how you look at it)
