Hey all,

We have started to move past the "basics" with WSS, (we use ProjSrvr 2k3 in
house), and am wondering how to get up to speed with modifying and or adding
information to WSSites. I understand it uses CSS, but not much more
familiar with it than that. I am familiar enough with ASP, and VB.Net so I
can kinda squirrel into aspx. Is there like a devel tool? Maybe Frontpage
is the way to go? I'm just looking to add more than the out of the box
functionality, yet stay within the security model.

P.s. Any WSS develpoers out there, we might be able to arrange a temp
contract.

Richard,

In your situation, I would conclude that enhancing your WSS sites with
FrontPage 2003 is probably the best course of action. If you know FP you can
do it easily. The only thing you should be aware of is that making FP
modifications has the effect of unghosting your FP sites. This has a
performance impact, but only noticable on large sites structures. For the
most part, branding is the major item affected by FP edits, but in your
situation, it sounds like FP is the way to go.

Hope this is helpful.

Thanks
C
