All,

I'm no longer as technical as I once was but the task of maintaining a
SharePoint Services site has fallen to me. Up until last night our
site was working pretty well. However, now, the main site is yielding
the "Service Not Available" message. I have rebooted the box,
restarted all the services I know to restart and still nothing.

Typically, what gives this message? What am I over looking. Much
appreciated.

Check the IIS App Pool - see if it has "stopped" possibly because of a bad
user id . I have seen the user id get out of whack for no apparent reason..
Reseting the Identity of the app pool took care of it for me.
