Hi,

I would like to configure Windows Sharepoint Services 3.0 with my
exchange so i can route emails to lists directory etc....

I have searched all over the place but only found referenced made to
how it is done but no step by step.

Can anyone please guide me to achieve this goal ?

I have DC & EX on two different servers and i would not like to
configure the basic option which requires installing SMTP Services on
the server. I have installed WSS on DC and would like to connect it to
EXchange.

I am going to "Central Administration > Operations > Incoming E-Mail
Settings" and checking Advance option there which provides space to
give "Email Drop Folder" sounds simple but how do you get those emails
over in the folder which i provided? do i have to make some kind of
stmp virtual server ?

and if you know about "Use the SharePoint Directory Management Service
to create distribution groups and contacts?" can you give me some hints
for that as well

thanks in advance.

Here's a link to what I did when I set it up,

I would HIGHLY recommend reading Steve Smith's paper here first though. As
far as I know, it's the definitive guide on this. You can grab it here,
