Hi all,

I'm receiving a form validation error when attempting to upload a doc with a
'#' in the finlename to a shared library in WSS sp1. My understanding was
that this issue has been resolved in sp1. The error:
?------------
Form Validation Error
Please correct the information you provided by following these steps, then
submit the information again:

The URL 'Shared Documents/New Wordpad # Document.doc' is invalid. It may
refer to a nonexistent file or folder, or refer to a valid file or folder
that is not in the current Web.
?------------

The server is running W2k3sp1, slipstreamed, (non-slipstreamed is not an
option)
Windows Sharepoint Services, sp1, slipstreamed (as provided of the MS
website)
WMSDE, as provide by the above install.

I have verified sp1 on WSS.

All installs are 'vanilla'.

Cheers,
Thomas.

# is in the invalid WSS character set - see

I don't see this as something that was "fixed" in SP1 as it was a definition
from the start.

Do you have a reference for such a SP1 fix?
