We have MSP Server and WSS Server installed and operating together
where MSP server will autoprovision a WSS automatically based on a
WSS.STP template. We have rolled this out to users and now have over
40 sites with content in lists and documents uploaded.

My issue is we have over 40 WSS sites and now want to change some of
the lists columns without losing any of the content and automating the
update of the list items.

What options do I have to automatic the maintenance of WSS sites once
in use?

I suggest that you in future spell out MSP Server when posting to other
newsgroups than the Project Server newsgroup.

I only knew what it was because I read your later message (where you say
"Project Server") first.

To the question the useless comment that it's probably better to change the
list columns (presumably in autoprovision although as this isn't the Project
Server newsgroup we have no knowledge here of how that works) before you
generate 40 lists - but I guess you knew that.

I only see manual work and no automatic maintenance of lists otherwise.
(Wondering what "automatic maintenance of lists" actually means)
