Hello:

Can anybody tell me why if I create a Custom group with the same permissions
of a default group, the members of it cannot view webparts?

Regards

Usually because the web parts are showing data that comes from a site;
sub-site or document library those users do NOT have rights to.

In the scenario I meant, you would go to the site / sub-site or list from
where the information is being grabbed for the web part and give them rights
there. Then they would have rights to both the site (etc.) and to the web
part that uses info from the site (etc.)

(I.e. go to the source of the problem and correct the situation there)

Sorrym bu maybe I did not explain very well my problem.

This is what is happening: If I add a user to the Contributor group he will
be able to add webparts, like a contact list, a content editor web page, etc.
But if I create a group with the same permissons of the Contributor group,
the users that I put there are not able to add web parts.

For me its not logical because the rights are the same.

Is this on a subsite or a root site? Like Engelbert said, in order for a
group to be able to add web parts is if they have access to the web part
gallery. The web part gallery is in the top level site of the site
collection. If your second group doesn't have any access to the top level
site, they won't have access to the web part gallery, and won't be able to
see the web parts.
