I just upgraded from SharePoint 2.0 to SharePoint 3.0. When I was running
2.0 the default webpage was https://servername. I would like to continue
this in 3.0. However if I type https://servername I get redirected to
http://servername/default.aspx , and a message saying â??The page must be
viewed over a secure channel.â?? If I go back up to the address bar and put in
https://servername/default.aspx then it will take me into SharePoint. How do
I get my default web site to use ssl? How do I get my default website to
stop redirecting to http instead of https?

Thank You

Fixed this using Alternate Access Mappings.
