It's a cure for a lot of SP ailments, but this problem seems to me to be
a purely IE7 one and nothing to do with WSS 3.0 at all.
All that seems to be happening is that IE7 isn't accepting a different
home page.
The reason for that seems to be a temporary one. The link that
BarkingDog is getting is "Thanks for choosing Internet Explorer 7" and
seems likely to be something you get only once.
