In attempting to export data from a list to a spreedsheet (Excel 2003) I
continually get the following error message "Cannot connect to server at this
time. Changes to your data cannot be saved."

There is a fix for "Cannot connect ..... Your list cannot be published."
but this does not work in this instance.

Has anyone encountered this problem, or have any ideas that may aid in
resolving this issue? Will appreciate

Again which fix ? (Not what was the fix for - what did the fix consist of
doing / where was the fix specified)

There are a couple of suggestions at

http://wss.collutions.com/Lists/FAQ/DispForm.aspx?ID=197

The first seems very roughly familiar to yours but doesn't hav Anonymous
access mentioned at all.

Where did you find your fix ? I presume it was in
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=838703 ? If not look there too.

I had the same problem, and I had tried all the solutions and none of
them worked for me.

After a lot of research I found out that there was a server
configuration issue.

Thanks Raj,

I've added this to the WSS FAQ as

III.64.3 I'm getting "Cannot connect to the server at this time. Your list
cannot be published". What's the solution?
