Hi,

when I update an Office file like word the document properties, e.g. Title
are automatically updated in the doc lib of WSS. How ever this does not work
for files other than doc, xls, ppt.

For example it does not for work pdf documents. Is there a solution for
this?

Thanks for any comment
Adrian

No.

This is a function of Office 2003 and Office 2007 (where it works
differently to Office 2003) and a few other Microsoft products that the
file contains the properties taken for the sharepoint columns.

If you have for instance PDF files you need to preserve the file and the
contents of the (WSS) columns (which you can do by making a copy of the
cells in Datasheet view).

There is however no link between the sharepoint columns and the pdf file
itself.
