honestly, i ask a lot of questions, and am not the best reader....but
really, you're just asking a million different questions to obviously fill
some homework assignment and not even bothering to try...even your emails
are all the same just replace XXXX:

Well spotted Daniel.

John some advice to you. Go and get yourself a nice beginners book on C++.
Lesson one on programming is always try and work it out for yourself. That
way you learn and retain.

If you can't afford a book then there are dozens of very useful websites
that will help you out no end. Also look at sites like Planet Source Code
and find programs and ideas that seem to be fit in with what you are trying
to do, download the source and see if you can work out how the programmer
did it.

Good Luck
