    - How to import a arbitrary CSV file into SQL Server or Oracle from command line I have a CSV file with the first row in the CSV file to be the column headers. The file is as follows: Material, Customer, month,qty, sales 10000,19ABC, 122004, 90.5, 10000 20000,20ABC, 122004, 80.5, 12000 30000,21ABC, 122004, 70.5, 14000 40000,22ABC, 122004, 60.5, 16000 50000,23ABC, 122004, 50.5, 18000 I want to import this file from DOS command prompt command line into SQL Server or Oracle table. I am aware of tools like Bulk Insert in SQL Server or sqlloader in Oracle to import these files into the database but I want something simple to run from a command line given the database, table name, server name,etc can import this file by a make table into a Oracle or SQL Server table. Also, if possible I want to set a command line option to insert into the target table if existing rather than creating it.     - add Printer at logon Hi, I'm trying to add printer at logon on clients with win98 and win2003 sbs server. I install on the server, the drivers for win98. I've found a lot of script but doesn't works well. Someone could help me? This is what I have found on the VBS documentation: AddWindowsPrinterConnection Method Adds a Windows-based printer connection to your computer system. Windows NT/2000: object.AddWindowsPrinterConnection( strPrinterPath ) Windows 9x/Me: object.AddWindowsPrinterConnection( strPrinterPath, strDriverName[,strPort] ) Arguments object WshNetwork object. strPrinterPath String value indicating the path to the printer connection. strDriverName String value indicating the name of the driver (ignored if used on Windows NT/Windows 2000). strPort Optional. String value specifying a printer port for the printer connection (ignored on Windows NT/Windows 2000). Remarks Using this method is similar to using the Printer option on Control Panel to add a printer connection.     - Sending messages with a complex body format I need to create a message with a quite complex body format (in term of fonts, pictures, signatures, logos and so on) and sent it using Outlook Automation. The samples I found look like the following: .Body = "This is the body of the message." &vbCrLf & vbCrLf A possible solution could be creating a message, saving it and then using Outlook Automation to send a copy just adding the recipient.     - Modifying Local Policy - User Rights Policy with VBScript Hi there, I've been searching forever, and can't figure out how to edit a local policy with VBScript. I dont think using a command line tool is an option, unless it is included with XP Pro. Basically, I've created a user, assigned it to a service, but cannot figure out how to grant the user "Log in as a service" policy membership. I hope someone can help, I'm losing my mind.     - Need install vbs script I have not used VB scripting before and hope to get some help from the experts out there. We need to create a .vbs file that will accomplish the following: 1) Get the path to the Windows system directory (SYSTEMROOT). 2) Call the .NET installutil.exe utility from within the appropriate folderin SYSTEMROOT to register a service we wish to install. This is a command line utility. So in our case, we would need to do something like: "C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322 \installutil.exe myprogram.exe" 3) Same as #2 above but for the regasm.exe utility.     - Question about vbscript and actual calls to GetIdsOfnames and Invoke on IDispatch Hi, Not sure if this is the correct forum to post in but here goes. I have what I see as a problem. I have created my own COM interface, call it IMyInterface for this discussion, in which I do my own implementation of IDispatch and do not rely on ATL for this. I also use the vbscript as the engine for my own implementation if IActiveScriptSite. I was under the impression that when using late binding for vbscript that IDispatch::GetIdsOfNames is called only once for a particular function( Is this correct? ). Ex function svcentry Dim fso Set fso = CreateObject("MyLib.MyInterface.1") for i = 0 to 10 fso.Sleep(100) next end function I would have expected that my interface would only be asked for id of Sleep once. This is not the case. GetIdsOfNames is called for EACH iteration of the loop. Is this the way that Vbscript always behaves or do I need to specify something for the engine so that it will store the DISPIDs of the items that it uses somewhere? It seems taht the more objects that I have as members of my interface the slower it will run in vbscript: Ex fso.memA.memB.memC = 9 would have to make about 4 calls to getidsofnames just to execute this one line, and if this line is repeated over and over say in a loop the speed hit could be fairly bad. If anyone can enlighten me I'd appreciate it. Or if this is not the correct forum than can someone point me to that as well.     - Create local account in XP I am looking for a way to check to see if an account exists in XP, and if not, create it, and keep running the VBS code until it is created and has Admin privileges(just in case the user add or group add fails). The only script I have now is the following to create the user. The questions I have are: 1) Am I creating the user correctly using VBS? (The code does work, but is there an easier way?) 2) How can I accomplish the goal as stated above using some type of VBS code? I need to set Path permanently, not just while the command prompt is open, so I can't use the set command. I figured I should write somewhere in the registry, so I searched the registry for a directory currently in the Path system variable, but I couldn't find it. I think I found where PATH data is stored for the owner, but I'd rather set the Path for all users. I could call the command line program PathTool ( http://www.digievo.co.uk/software.asp?category=1 ) from my script to add to Path, but PathTool is a 72K exe with features that I don't need. The VBScript at http://www.winguides.com/scripting/reference.php?id=138 seems more practical for my needs, but I need some help to customize it. I only have access to Windows XP. With a little help from a VBScript reference (since I don't know VBScript), I was able to customize the VBScript to add to Path on XP and other NT based systems. There is one form for each class. They all have the same name. This Posting is to elicit opinions about whether my plan for doing the above is the right way to go. I have not yet learned how to use two-dimensional arrays (which I presume would be a better way to go), so I'm planning to do the following: 1. Use a batch file and a cscript file (both shown at the bottom of this message) to write the directory to a text file (DirFileList.txt), showing on each line one filename and the date/time of the file. The date/time will be at the left margin of DirFileList.txt. 2. Use a loop to go down each line of DirFileList.txt to compare the date/time to Now. 3. If the comparison returns a number that is smaller than 4 hours, find the filename string to the right, and use that string to find the filename "root" for the related files to be copied (i.e., the filename except for the .txt or .pdf extension), e.g., Alpha.txt and Alpha.pdf. 4. Use the filename "root" to open the Alpha.txt file and harvest the info to use in generating the filename to assign to the new copies of Alpha.txt and Alpha.pdf 5. Then I run the script but it dies before saying RemoveNetworkDrive the drive I mapped is then Ghosted. Running the script again and having the FileSystemObject say DriveExists() it will say true, if you try to Unmap RemoveNetworkDrive fails, EnumNetworkDrives doesn't see that mapping and the asking to MapNetworkDrive says that the local name is in use.
