Sample script

Does anyone have a sample logon VBS or Bat script that does the following?
I am very new to this.

When logging in to the network I want to;

1) check what os they are running
2) check to see if they are running the latest SP.
3) If not running latest SP then Apply latest SP
4) Also check if they are running latest Patches.
5) If not running latest Patches, then install it.
