In both cases the RecordSet is being populated as I can retrieve the values, but in the case of the script it simply won't tell me the number of records.     - Detecting startup as the result of a drop action If you drag any Explorer selection over a .vbs file, the .vbs file will attempt to run. Is there any way to detect that it is starting to run as a result of a drop operation (as opposed to an accelerator key operation, or a command line invocation, or perhaps someone has even set up other file types to be operated on by that script (by means of ...\otherFileType\Shell\Open\Command in the registry))? An insufficient test is that such a drag operation ensures that the script gets at least one argument (whereas an accelerator key start ensures none).     - populating multidimensional arrays Hi, I'm having some difficulty getting data into arrays greater than one dimension. I can do it if I specify every single element individually but there has to be a faster way.     - Detect when a file has been "GET" by a remote FTP Server Hello everybody. I need to detect when files in a folder has been successfully copied to a remote machine via an FTP GET originated in that remote machine. I have no access or control over the server initiating the transfer so I have to monitor events in the server that stores the files.     - Problem with IE7, this script worked on IE6 Here are the first few (or more) lines of code to a script that monitors servers in real time, using IE to show a graphical/not page and indicating status. This worked on IE6 (I did have to tweak the security settings for intranet as I recall). Now it is broke, I don't really use IE7 (Firfox), but I do want my scripts to work in a browser that I expect to be standard. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We need to be able to do the following: After sysprep runs on a server, a script needs to run that will - execute a command at a command prompt (this will add VLANs to our server's NIC, which we are already able to do, but only for one set of VLANs. we have mulitple pools of servers that each use different VLANs), then - retrieve the numbers from the servers name, no matter the name length (we have different pools of servers that have different lengths for their names, but all have 1-3 digits at the end of their name) - apply the numbers to a script (that will assign IPs to the newly create VLANs) using the number as the last octet of, then finally - run an already bat file that will copy all necessary data... any help would be greatly appreciated...i keep trying different things, but as i am in no way a vbs master, i keep hitting dead ends.. thanks!! Hi all, In order to implement a workaround to VPN users who have offline files set up but also need to access all folders when connected remotely, we're having to ask them to do the following (as per KB290523): 1. Double-click My Computer on the desktop. 2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options. 3. On the Offline Files tab, click View Files. 4. On the Tools menu, click Synchronize. 5. Click OK when you are prompted to synchronize. Are there any vbs guru's out there who could post a script to do the above? I wouldn't have a clue where to start as my vbs knowledge is very basic. Display Msgbox "completed" in Frame2 3. set select control item in Frame1 the code worked perfectly well in IE6. I have an access database with a single table and several thousand records added each day.. One of the columns in each record is a file path with file name.
