Is it possible to prevent a user from opening a .doc with an IE link
and instead forcing the .doc to be saved as?
I have looked into manipulating the right-click menu but I can't be
removing valid menu options. Is there a way to create my own
right-click menu and only provide a "Save as" option and call it on the
click or right-click of the link??
I've also tried playing with open/save dialogs but have not been able
to get it to work. I've tried opening the .doc in a new window and
doing a javascript "saveas" but IE only saves the .doc object and not
the page contents.
Can anyone give me any ideas?
