    - Create folder structure inside current folder. I have very little knowledge of scripting so please bear with me. I currently have 1500 users who each have ther Homepath via user account in AD. They all have a home directory folder on the a server. What we need to do is create a folder structure inside the individual users folder. ie: folder called Bill already exits. i want to add a folder structure that looks like this. Bill \maths \english \french \german Can this be done via a logon script or a script that is run locally on the server which hosts the home directories. We are trying to put the folder structure in place to try and encourage users to be more organised.They already have files and folders in hteir directory so we want to add these folder and encorage them to re arranged.     - Set Local group policy or Import I am responsible for many stand alone laptops that are never attached to domain. I already have a login script on these machine that silent merges s .reg file to ensure settings remain the way I want them. Several settings are only available using MMC and the group policy snap in. I need to know how to ensure those don't get changes either.     - Access doc from web I know how to open a document from the web like so: Set doc1 = objWord.Documents.Open("http://my.site.com/path/to.doc") My problem is I need a way to use this document in a method call that needs the filename in the form of a string. Of course, the first thing I tried was putting in the entire URL as a string like in the Open call, but this particular method (.Merge or .Compare) doesn't seem to like the 'http://' reference. I also tried referencing the document object that I already opened. If I use 'doc1.FullName', it still throws the same error saying, "The document name or path is not valid". Is there a way to use the object that has already been opened? Maybe point to whereever the temporary file is being stored? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Chris FYI.     - Logon script & Citrix Metaframe. Hi. Hope this is the right forum for this problem. We have a logon script in our AD enviroment which runs in IE shell. Now when users try to logon to Citrix Metaframe there's only cscript window but nothing happens. The cscript window stays there as long as you want to watch it. When you close it you are able to log on normally. If I change the default script host to wscript.exe the script will never load and the user cannot log on to metaframe. Normally that script is run by wscript (without metaframe). I have looked that when the script is run that wscript.exe and iexplore.exe processes start ok. Now if I test logon with administrator rights the script loads and runs fine with both cscript and wscript. Metaframe "Power Users" experience the same problem. Hmm.. I tested this script and it works fine: wscript.echo "I suck 'cause I can't get it work :(" I don't know what would be the best solution, but could I run a different script in terminal sessions? I have a bunch of files (Playlist files for media player) and I am trying to create an automatically generated web page that includes the last 20 or 30 of these files.     - Need help parsing XML from an HTTP_POST I am using MS InfoPath to create a survey. I am posting it to an ASP (not .NET) page. InfoPath says that it sends the data as XML using HTTP POST. How can I process the posted xml data? With an HTML form, I would just do Request("formobj"), but that does not seem to work with XML. I know the data is being posted because I have a test If Request.ServerVariables("REQUEST_METHOD") = "POST" Then I write a simple text file just to see if the page is being submitted to.     - handle CreateObject failure? I'd like to call CreateObject, but handle failure of this function by running regsvr32.exe (with WshShell.Run) and trying again. Alternatively, I'd like a way to test if an object is registered, so I can call regsvr32.exe before CreateObject if necessary. Apologies for my naivety on the subject, but I'm at hair-pulling stage
looking for information on this topic.

I can easily create desktop shortcuts to folders/files programmatically,
but how can I do the same for objects such as "Local Area Connection" and
"Dial-Up xxx"?

There must be something simple I'm missing. Thanks for the assist.
