I recently worked on an XP migration project where they used a script that
enabled an administrator to place a computer account into an OU from the
client side. This is obviously very valuable to administrators because it
eliminates the backend hassle of deployments.
After the usual Sysprep startup process completed, a screen would list all
of the OUs for the company. The tech would select the appropriate OU and
then the computer account would be added to that OU.
I am looking for a script or application that would provide this feature.
The company would not comment on how they accomplished the task.
Assumingly, this script would be executed as a â??Runonceâ?? component of
Sysprep and reside on a share rather then the image.
