    - GPO / local script conflicting results. Hi all - I have a problem that has me foxed. I want to run a script that will display all the software installed on a PC (software installed using Windows installer). When I run the same script as a GPO policy on a PC, and then run an almost identical version on the PC itself, I get slightly different results. The GPO version doesn't show that AcrobatReader50 is installed. Here is the script that I ran locally and using a GPO.     - Map drive letter to WebDAV We have a Novell cluster that is Web Dav enabled that we want to map a drive letter to the Web Dav location for the user either as they log in, or an icon on their desktop. I searched high and low, and did see a good way to do this. I thought about using a VBS script to map the drive letter. Even if I have to prompt them for their password and use the username they log in with by pulling it, that would be fine as well. Does anyone know of a way to do this? The default login can be found in the odbc administrator under the advanced tab.     - Setting focus I am having problems with setting focus on a PGP decryption dialog box. My code below works fine interactively on the client PC.     - match machine name to user name I have a script that reads a mdb file to determine what machines are logged into it. I would like to return the user name instead of the machine name. What is the easiest way to do this? I only have 9 machines that can log in so can I make a table inside the script or do I have to create an external table or file for reference?     - Changing TCP/IP Settings Is there any way using vbscript/WSH to access and modify Windows 2K/XP TCP/IP Properties? I need to make a little program that, when the user runs the program and selects one of two options (radio button:?), they set the TCP/IP properties to either "Obtain IP address automatically via DHCP" or set a specific IP/Gateway/DNS/WINS, ect.     - LDAP Attributes Active Directory Users Hello, I'm using a script to find users with various attributes. I would like to find all users with a script name in there profile. I know how to access other attributes (i.e. sAMAccountName,cn,userPrincipalName etc.) but I can not find any information on the other LDAP attributes contained in the user scheme.     - clearing Id in Vbscript ???? hi, i have a following html id in the body part of asp <DIV id=details1></DIV> initally when the page loads, this id is empty and when i click a button on my asp page, it assigns a value to it using "details1.innerHTML = my_val" through vbscript and its value is visable on webpage. i press the button again and at that point i want to clear this id value. i have used the following code for clearing details1.innerHTML ="" but... the problem is that if <DIV id=details1></DIV> is between 2 lines then i get a space of id after clearing it. this space is not there when page initally loads. my question is, how to clear this ID properly.     - Archive.pst files | Splitting programatically I'd like to programatically take a large .pst (archive) and split it into muliple files. The scope would be to split a huge archive into a seperate archives based on date and create one archive for each year. Basically, I want to be able to send a user to execute a script from a share and it will download the hotfix automatically from MS (optimistically, this would have the ability to be changed for newer hotfixes down the road).     - How to open "Date and Time Properties" window in XP? Howdy, My HP laptop has a bad habit of booting up with it's clock set at 01/01/2004 12:00 AM HP swears they are aware of it and are working on a BIOS update. So, in the interim, I have to remember to check the clock after logging in. I usually forget until I get a warning from MS Outlook about Gmails certificate not being valid until 11 months in the future. So, I've written a vbscript to run each time I log into the desktop that pops up a window if the current date is 01/01/2004 to remind me to change the date / time. I'd like for it to pop up the Date and Time Properties window automatically for me (the one that opens when you double click on the clock). Anyone know how to do this? The first time it runs, following power-on or system restart, it takes an order of magnitude longer to open the document than all subsequent runs. I have tried it on three machines. One took 15 seconds to open the document first time around, and then half a second for all subsequent runs. One too 12 seconds for initial opening, and 1.5 seconds thereafter, and my own desk-top too 9 seconds for the first opening, and half a second subsequently. My question is : why so long for the initial document opening? Or in other words, what is it doing first time that it isn't doing all subsequent times? Is it possible for me to trigger whatever the initial document opening is doing, without actually opening a document (in other words "hide" whatever is happening in the first document opening in the login process)? Also ... Is there a WEB site or book that will give me some background to the mechanism being employed to access the document? CDOsys and addattachment works fine with word doc or excel. When i attach an
pdf , it changes the file extension to dat. When de receiver changes the
extension to pdf its an fine pdf. Can cdosys send pdf without changing it to
a dat file .
