I am having truble with ActiveX in general. It's possible that my VBSCRIPT
book is out of date.

Can any point to some ActiveX documention. If I download and activeX from
the in internet how can find
the the class ID necessary for my vbscript tool?

You could use Steve McMahon's ActiveX Documenter Utility.

It will provide the clsid, the progid, and all the methods, properties
and events.
