Hi Everyone.
I just purchased a used computer that requires a
windows log-in. It currently has the old users
log-in id and asks for a password which I don't
know and probably will not be able to get since
I bought it from a computer auction center.
Does anyone know how I can get in without the
password? I would be willing to erase everything
if that's what it takes and install an updated
operating system such as windows 2000. Right now,
I can't get in at all without knowing the password.
Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you.

If you don't care about any of the data, just get a W2k CD and boot from
it - do a clean install rather than an update. Make sure the hardware can
support W2k first....
