i use a wireless router to connect to the internet the
instructions when i set it up said i had to disable
firewall to install should i have windows firewall
running or is router firewall good enough will running
windows firewall be benificial or just redundant

If you are the only computer on the network behind the router you really do not need
to be using the ICF firewall [though no harm to leave it enabled] as unlike some
software firewalls such as Zone Alarm or Sygate it does not manage outbound traffic.
If you have other computers on your network and they do not need to access your
computer then I would leave it enabled in case one on them gets a virus or
