Oh my - your doctor goes to Google when he's trying to diagnose a health
issue? I'd probably shop for a new MD. :)
That said, you can search google, etc., to your heart's content and may even
find something if you can narrow the serch terms down enough to make it
useful. Given the vagueness (no error message, for example) this may be a
long and painful process, but if you are diligent enough you may succeed.
If you find something and it turns out to be the cause/fix, please post
back so others can benefit. There's really very little anyone can do with
the question as it stands, so I can't help further, other than to say that
if this is a good friend of yours, you might want to see if you can get your
hands on her PC to run scans of all kinds to make sure her computer is in
