Is is possible to use SUS server on 1 network that is
connected to the Internet to recieve updates, then sneaker
net the updates to another SUS server that CAN'T connect
to the Internet. If not, it might be a good feature for
new version, lot of us run networks that can't be
connected to the Internet.

Thanks

Kay, this might sound really stupid but I have no idea wot
a SUS server is or how to go about setting it up? If you
could tell me how do go about it i'd be very grateful,
thanx again

Software Update Services. You know what Windows update is, right? Well SUS
is like your networks own local copy of Windows Update.

Hi

I would think the chapter "Synchronizing Content With Another Server
Running Software Update Services or Manually-Configured Content
Distribution Point" in SUS_Deployguide_sp1.doc would be relevant.

Note that it is a error in the documentation:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&threadm=074901c2e895%2400f8c630%24a101280a%40phx.gbl&rnum=1&prev=/groups%3Fhl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8%26selm%3D074901c2e895%252400f8c630%2524a101280a%2540phx.gbl

Here is another way it looks like:

Fyi, there is a separate newsgroup for SUS:

microsoft.public.softwareupdatesvcs

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.softwareupdatesvcs

URL to the group softwareupdatesvcs for those who uses the Web
interface to access the newsgroups:
