There is a word box on some websites that asks you to type what you see in
it.I would like to know what is that and how dos it work.

If I interpret your post correctly, that box you see is to prevent bots
from making accounts on the website. A human is able to understand the
combination of letters and numbers (usually done with handwriting
and/or distorted fonts) where a machine can not. A good example is when
you sign up for a Hotmail or Yahoo mail account. Is this what you
meant?
