security patch

Somebody please help me before I throw my computer through
the window!

I keep getting e-mails about the new security patch
(usually over 20 at a time!), but when I click on the
attachment it tells me that 'this update does not need to
be installed on this system', but when I delete the
message it then starts to download a file. Last night I
decided to leave four files running but this morning after
9 hours they were still downloading!

All my other e-mails seem to be being blocked because of
this and I'm getting nowhere fast. It tells me I don't
need the download for my system but then keeps sending me
endless e-mails telling me I do! How do I stop it all
before I go mad?

gee thanks, you probably sent a few thousand copies of the virus during that
time! first you unplug your computer, then you go buy some anti-virus
software and install it before you plug back into the internet.

Hi Mae

Thanks for the info. I've downloaded the cleansweep file
but can't get it to do anything. It's in my documents but
if I click on it or right click open it, it just comes up
as if it's trying to download again. Am I doing something
wrong?
