If you take the keys out of your car when you park it, to
avoid having it stolen, you could lose them, then you
wouldn't be able to use your car. But you still do it,
cause getting your car stolen is much worse than calling a
locksmith to get a new key. Same with computer security.
Those updates might screw things up [now and then], but if
you don't do them, its JUST LIKE LEAVING THE KEYS IN THE
CAR. Want some kid using you credit cards on the internet?
Eventually, someone will steal it. Have her call a
computer tech to fix her computer, and stay up on the
updates.
