I don`t know if this can be done....I would like to be able to tell if
anyone has accessed my PC at home in my absence, I am not looking for key
loggers just a basic something or other that lets me know someone has used
it or that they may have installed a programme. I currently use Spybot and
AVG for antivirus stuff and have a firewall and run ocassional `other` virus
checks.
I am sure computer is being used as some settings have changed and a couple
of things haven`t worked when I have returned, when I ask no one used it. I
don`t want to stop them using it but if I can prove they have then maybe
they will be more careful and stop mucking around with it.
My next step would be do deny them access which I am reluctant to do,I just
want to get it under control.

any help appreciated.
thanks

Juco,
What OS are you running? The easiest solution is to setup an local audit
policy that captures the required information.

Account logon events. Logs an event each time a user attempts to log on.

Process tracking. Logs an event for each program or process that a user
launches while accessing a system.

System events. Logs designated system events, such as when a user restarts
or shuts down a computer.

I am running windows XP pro.
How do I set up a local audit policy? Or where do I find this and I can play
around with it.

thanks
