how to protect the personal data in the removable flash memory from being
viewed if it is lost? Is there really any reliable software could do this
easily and user friendly? thanks.

Agreed - although their full system volume encryption caused a system or two
I tried it on a bit of havoc (no sound - no matter how many times I tried to
install the driver, corrupt Outlook 2007 install, had to re-install ISO
Recorder, etc. - all fixed when I decrypted the system) - the basic volume
encryption seems top-notch.

Thanks very much.
One of my friends told me to use the encryption with NTFS in WindowsXP. I
wonder if there is any difference between it and using the third party
software such as truecrypt and winrar.

Well - you can use the built in encryption if you desire (built into Windows
XP Professional or supersets and/or Windows Vista in some versions) - just
be sure to utilize the best practices for that.

You could use the encryption techniques in both WinZIP and WinRAR if
desired...

TrueCrypt is designed to do one thing and it does it well. That's where I
would differentiate the others from it - designed to do one thing - not
"used to do one thing, now expanded to do something else as well"...
