I seem to have lost my product key code for my windows 98se. I don't have it
installed right now so I can't pull it from the registery. Is there any way I
can get the product key again?

To replace a CD or Product Key, you must contact PSS. To locate the
appropriate phone number for your product, visit the following Microsoft Web
site:

I don't know what to do at this site. What is PSS? Is there a phone
number to call?

PSS is Product Support Services. The page you were referred to
amazingly enough includes the phone numbers, as well as links to phone
numbers if you're outside the US.

You can look at this page, which tells you how to obtain a new Office
product key (same process for all products):

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;823570

You might also try this page, though it won't get you a replacement
key:

How to Replace Lost, Broken, or Missing Microsoft Software or
Hardware:

Ok thanks. But since I don't have my win98se installed right now I don't
think I can get the product ID. I will call 1-800-microsoft. Thanks again
for your help.
