I don't blame you. Sp2 is not and update I would advise using right now.
There are a couple of ways to fix this. One, try to go into your add/remove
programs by clicking on start and then settings, control panel or just
control panel. Then choose add/remove programs and look for the service pack
2 install and choose remove.
The second way would be to go to your C: drive, windows folder, and there
should be blue names of folders something like '$NTUninstall...' Those are
your windows updates and one will be Sp2. **** If you can't see them, go up
to Tools on the menu bar, click and choose Options. A window will open,
choose view, and in the Advanced settings, you should see a little folder
icon with the words Hidden files and folders. Below that choose 'Show hidden
files and folders'. Click Ok and then you should be able to see the blue
named folders. Good luck!!
