can anyone offer a solution to stop the annoying grey box
popups that you have to click on forever to get rid of?
they say to gop to their site and unsubscribe, yet when I
do this I get page not available.
I could buy their stop the popups software hpwever, that
would just make them successful.
does anyone want to file a class action against these
idiots?
i.e. endads.com,stopmessenger.com...

please email an answer to
twogood2b4u2@yahoo.com and post your reply at the
mocrosoft.public.security Newsgroup

Waste of time. They are just scum and will scurry away under a rock and
pop up (pun intended) somewhere else.

As this has been answered many many times before but I guess worth
repeating:

Get a firewall such as ZoneAlarm or Kerio. You need to isolate your
system from the Internet.

By the way have you not read the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) that was
posted this morning?
It had this answer in there:
http://securityadmin.info/noframes/faqget.asp#pop-ups

Go to services and turn off Windows Messenger, disable
it. That will stop the messages. Got this off google and
it works.

No, it hides the _symptom_. The problem still exists. The problem is
that your machine is still 100% exposed naked to the internet. Get a
firewall installed and leave the poor messenger service alone.

I am having the same problem. I agree with you. I agree
that paying them allows them to get away with virtual
blackmail. Have you received a solution that you could
share?
