You've probably got a personal firewall that screams blue murder about
"accessing the internet" when it notices anything using the network
connection it is watching.

Now thats good, i'm glad you have a firewall, but you need to understand
that some things on your system need to use networking to do their jobs, in
the case of these commands they are commands for manipulating and viewing
the state of your network connection, and as such its useless to try and
block them from using the network... either don't run them, if you don't
want them using your network connection, or if you want to run them, don't
tell your firewall to block them. Your choice.

Some firewalls tend to be a little over zealous about notifying you about
problems. As a general rule, if you deliberately choose to run a program,
then it isn't a problem to let it access the things it needs in order to
run. Not every firewall alert is a major cause for concern.
