Im running Windows XP and IE6.0 - and Im usually behind tight
firewalls - now I surfed "outside" the wall and somehow - someone
tries to hijack my modem.

What happen is that the number My modem is calling has been switched
out and replaced with a number in the Cook Islands!!! - and there are
several different numbers that keep switching between themselves - all
in the Cooks Islands I.e 0068 837015

My user name has also been switched and is now ConnInts10 - and also
the password is switched

Additionally the Normal-Dial-Up-Window has been altered so I can not
see the username and password as I normally do.

All of these changes I can easilly put back to correct settings and
use my system as usual...

All of this wouldnt bee to bad if it wasn´t that after every
call-up-session a new Cook Island number turns up and I have to fill
in all my info manually again.

I have used the latest version and the latest referencelist of
Ad-aware 6.0 - it has removed a few things from my systems

I also have run the latest edition and update from Symantec.

Despite that this anoying piece of shit keeps coming back..

How can I stamp it out??

Hi Bob!
I'm writing you from Denmark, where I have had the same problem. But
do this: Install from www.Download.com the program "Spybot Search &
Destroy". After installing you run the program and restart your
computer. Now you should be rid of the problem. I hope you'll succeed.
Greetings Erling from Denmark
