KB937143 has killed my server side ActiveX controls... Why?

Hello,

I have an old ASP application that uses server side ActiveX controls called
from serverside javascript. MS Update KB937143 has made it so these no
longer work. Does anyone know why, or have any idea how to correct this
(other than un-installing KB937143)? Uninstalling does resolve the problem,
by the way. I just want to know what this update changed so I can fix my
problem.

Looks like MS still pretends that this is Not a known issue. The update
prevents IE from connecting to the net and is not an issue of certain web
sites not using "certain controls".
