Does this worm effect Win 98SE...if so is there a
prevention patch to be installed please?

Cannot find one on the MSN site or any mention of it

The best patch for Win 98SE is to reinstall. This time use
something like Red Hat Linux.

Nope it does not affect Win 98SE.... but you should
update your system from Windows Update none the less to
make sure you have the latest patches.
