Forgot to comment on this, they don't block the ports unless you tell them
to. They block the applications that use the ports if you tell them to or
they autoconfigure them. They cause the ports to run in stealth mode so
they can't be detected if you are surfing and hackers are trolling for
victims, if they are working correctly. They block the applications such as
hackers and "nuts" use to enter your computer. If they blocked the ports
you would not be able to do the things you are doing right now. Go to
www.grc.com and get your ports checked to see if they are stealth (unseen) ,
open (visible), or closed (refuse to accept connections but not BLOCKED)
which means how they appear to probes.
