Hi,

You haven't specified what version of Outlook do you use? It would helps
with instructions.

First you import your digital certificate to computer store. Best way
usually is to just double click on *.pfx file (or other type of file that
may contain private or public keys) and follow the wizard.

You can check if the import was successful by opening Internet Explorer and
going to Tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> Certificates. Check that
you can see your certificates under "Personal" tab.

Instructions below are for Outlook 2003 (it is very similar in Outlook 2000
and Outlook 2002)

Now open Outlook and click on Tools -> Options -> Security tab -> under
Encrypt e-mail click Settings -> and give your new settings a name (e.g. I
would give mine settings name "Mike's security settings").
Next thing you need to do is select certificate that you want to use so
click on Choose... and select your certificate from the list. After you are
done click OK.
On "Options" page and security tab you can choose some other settings e.g.
"Add digital signature to outgoing messages", ...

I hope this helps,

Mike
