has hotmail been hacked?

anybody out there notice something is wrong with msn's
hotmail.........anybody???

Don't know, and don't care. I don't use Hotmail since
Yahoo! is better. I don't get pop-ups in Yahoo! Mail they
way I did when using Hotmail (whose account I've since
cancelled, thank God).

I did visit Hotmail just now and it seems fine. If it is
acting up, it's not because someone "hacked" into it. It's
a little hiccup; give it a few minutes or a day and then
you will be able to access their mediocre email services.

You do know about popup blockers? Not that I'm a big fan of hotmail mind
you but just cause there's popups doesn't strike me as a good reason to
leave.

Very true, no server/service has perfect uptime. Go have a coffe and try
again later.

Yes, I know about pop-up blockers, do you? I can recommend
some to you.

Pop-ups are a great reason for me to cancel my Hotmail
account.

#1. Yahoo! Mail, like Hotmail, has a free version availabe
to users as long as they put up with ads on the page
itself. Yahoo! Mail DOESN'T, however, give you a pop-up
upon logging in, whereas Hotmail does. How rude! Hotmail
is that money-hungry that they let advertisers send you a
pop-up whereas Yahoo! doesn't? No thanks!!!

#2. According to Microsoft (ironically): "Many legitimate
advertisers on the Internet use windows that pop up...if
you click an image to see a larger version, it might open
in a pop-up window. Unfortunately, some pop-up windows can
contain inappropriate content or can be a way for you to
accidentally download dangerous software (called spyware
or adware) onto your computer."

I just find it ironic that Microsoft fights pop-ups with
XP SP2 yet their Hotmail service subjects users to an
annoying advertisement pop-up for lobster dinners, online
college degrees, and other crap. Shame on Hotmail (i.e.
MICROSOFT!).

Whereas as some people here do not give any
warranties/rights to people here regarding the content of
their posts, I'm responsible enough to stand by my word.

Should anyone take my advice here from any of my posts and
damage their computers in the process, I will take care of
any costs associated with repairing the computer and/or
paying for a new one.

I've not seen any popups while i've been using hotmail. Nor have I seen any
get blocked or anything like that.

i have. i then installed pop up stopper some time ago and
shows a pop up being killed when logging in to hotmail to
this day.

i get one when logging in once and never get a pop-up
again until i clear cookies, temp internet files, etc.;
this cycle still continues to this day.
