firewall questions

Hi I just installed a firewall on my computer. At the
summary in the first hour or so I've had 200 events! Two
at random were both recommended that I report them to the
firewall log. But at that rate I'm going to be reporting
thousands of events per day! Is this a normal amount?
Also, I'm very ignorant - should I worry about allowing
access to any of them? I mean, they're not friendly emails
or something at times are they?

Your firewall is doing its job and blocking the events. Just ignore them
and turn off the Alert function.
