I have installed the latest Microsoft service pack and
now am unable to download certain files. PDF files cannot
be downloaded. I get a yellow symbol in the bottom of
the screen that refers to add-ons. The Adobe pdf add-on
is disabled. Is this the problem? And how do I enable it?

Thanks

The pdf add-on being disabled could very well be the problem; I'd start by
going into IE, under Tools/Manage Add-Ons, and enabling the Adobe add-ons.
There's a good explanation of the add-on manager at
http://www.updatexp.com/windows-xp-service-pack-2.html, and more
information specific to the add-on manager available in KB883256.

Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Tony

managed by the system administrator. How do I turn it on
as an administrator?
