you have to be careful what you click on whilst browsing the web. (also, be
careful what sites you go to).
they make appletes/scripts e.t.c.. that can reset your home page & do many
other things. you can tighten the security settings on your browser or
other third party software, but you will most likely be inundated with a
new set of pop up's and click me's asking for confirmation of whether you
really want this or that. kind of ironic if you think about it...
there is a trade off between security & functionality. you have to set it
to what you feel most comfortable with.
in IE, goto tools --> internet options --> security
and experiment with these settings.
though i don't run zonealarm, i was under impression it has built-in &
intergrated web security settings as well.
