How secure is my email? At my place of work, I send and
receive email very often. What are the chances that my
boss is reading my mail? Is it legal? I have a password
protected mailbox, can my boss still get to my mail?
Thank you in advance for your help.

You should consider email, home or work, to be public.

At work, your employer may well be legally able to maintain a complete
record of all emails sent and received. In some cases, they may even be
legally required to maintain such a record. Whether anyone looks at this
record is another matter--but don't assume they don't!

Email is not encrypted or in any way protected from interception. Think of
it as though it is paper postcards you are mailing through your standard
mail service.
