Yes. I have it running here on a WinXP box with NOD32 v3 anti virus both
running in real time without any conflicts or problems.

Windows Defender is NOT an anti virus. It is geared only to spyware and adware.
However it can happily coexist with a "real" anti virus application.

Yes.

Microsoft has established separate newsgroups for Windows Defender support
and comments. This is not one of them.
