Hi everyone, I'm not sure if I am in the right forum or
not, but anyways . . . My father just got a new Dell
computer with a 40GB HD. He will never use more than
10GB max. He is a backing-up freak. I gave him a used
12GB HD for cloning with using Norotn Ghost in the event
this main HD goes bad. But the only way I know how to do
it, is to unplug the CD-Rom IDE and power cable and plug
in the 12GB HD and clone c: to d: (d: being the backup
HD) We then re-attached the cd-rom and inserting the
12GB HD into the main stop on the mother board (where the
40 GB HD was) and re-booting. Everything worked
perfectly! My question is: Is there a easy way to do
this. Meaning, is there some type of USB cord that
coverts to a IDE/power cord so that when he backs up
(clones) his master drive, he does not have to physically
remove the case and CD-Rom.

If anyone knows if this is possible, please let me know!
Also, if possible point me to the URL where a person
could purchase such a device (if one exits!)

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP!!! - SEAN
