Heeelllp I have both of these programs and used them last night but I got a little zealous and deleted everything that both the systems had found. Now I can't get into hotmail if I click on the icon on the lower right hand side of my screen.
Also I can't get to some of the other message boards that I have been able to go to on a regular basis
Ad-aware told me that there was a hijack attempt...does this mean that it was only an attempt or because now that my puter is acting wonky was the HJ successful..When I did got the report on ad-aware..it had said it's own system was malware
If I do system will it help
I am running windows XP...am a newbie but I have learnt a whole lot from this group
I also have norton antivirus. And windows firewall enable
I hope someone knows what I am talking about and can help me
Thank you in advance

Have you tried restoring everything from adaware and spybot then SELECTIVELY
deleting what you don't want?

You would know if it were sucessful, if your home page
were changed to something you didn't want, and you can't
change it back.

I don't think ad aware can cause system damage, spybot
if things are selected incorrectly, or the wrong things
may stop you from doing what you normally did.
I suggest this, get a copy of hijackthis.
read the directions and after you have scanned your system
download the report to the proper forum, and I'm sure
someone will be happy to guide you further...
