Write protected files

Programs from net have infected my system by putting
icons on desktop, favorites and homepage. Found programs
but getting write protect error message when try to
delete. How can remove??

Do you have good antivirus software installed, and do you update it
regularly? You need to - this is mandatory, as is a firewall. Try an online
scan first at http://housecall.antivirus.com -

The files are probably in use by a running process. The first thing you
should do is discover what it is that is affecting your system.

Have you tried scanning your system with updated AV signatures? You should
also run a spyware program. Bazooka is a pretty good tool to identify
spyware (http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/index.html), as is HijackThis
(http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html).
