Ok Pa Bear here it is..When i open the security center it says...security
center is currently unavailable because the security center service has not
started or was stopped. Please close this window, restart the computer (or
start the security center service and then open the security center
again....I don't recall stopping the security center service
2)When i click on the firewall it says windows firewall setting cannot be
displayed because the associated service is not running. Do you want to start
the windows firewall/internet connection sharing service....when i click yes
it says windows cannot start it..
All you help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

From those few details, it sounds like you've been hijacked and it's
affected Security Center, the Windows Firewall and VirusScan.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

Ohhhhh PA Bear the more i try to do to this machine the worse it gets it
won't let me download HJT I finally disabled my AV so it could but it is a
zippered file...I know that i should be able to unzip without any problem but
nothing is working properly..should i just uninstall my AV and install new AV
program...

When i went to download HJT my AVsays it is a W32\GenericWorm P2P...so that
is why i disabled my AV...

Wendy, I'm sure PABear won't mind if I interject a comment into this
very long thread:

This is not meant to hurt your feelings in any way, but it is really to
time do /Yellow Pages/Computer Repair. IOW, it's time to take your
machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local
equivalent of BigStoreUSA). I've been following this long thread and
the others you've posted, and I think you've pretty much exhausted what
you're going to be able to accomplish with newsgroup help.

Again, I'm not saying this to be mean; I'm just being practical. I don't
know about you, but I don't hesitate to call the plumber when my sink
doesn't work and I feel no shame in taking the car to the mechanic. It
isn't any different with your computer. Stop torturing yourself and get
the machine cleaned up and move on.

Best of luck,

Malke
