Hi
Does anybody know what government agency to send a fraud e-mail? I just
received one from the Nigerian crew. Thanks.

There are millions if not billions of fraudulent emails sent out every day.
There is no specific government agency to send these to. The government has
bigger fish to fry anyhow. If you get an email that is a threat [not a scam]
directed at you personally by name you could of course contact your local
police on how to proceed. If you get a bogus email that appears to come from
a legitimate source such as those Ebay scams you could try contacting the
company directly if you have an account with them such as at spoof@Ebay.com
that Ebay uses. You also could try contacting your ISP about bogus emails
and they may try to filter in the future but the source email changes
constantly for these scams. Your ISP's website FAQ for customer service may
have more info. --- Steve

Your posting IP address tells me that you are a Verizon customer, so maybe
these sites have appropriate information:

If you feel like pursuing this, take a look at the Internet mail headers to
find out the originating IP and check it out at www.arin.net/whois - you can
then forward the message (with the full headers copied & pasted in) to their
abuse department.

Usually futile, but I myself get cranky enough to do this from time to
time...
